Design Creation and Digitization
Creating Your Own Design and Custom Digitizing
It is a great idea to create your very own brand and I can help you do that. In 15 years in this business, I have seen lots of different methods of getting that idea into an actual logo ready for embroidery – some more efficient than others, but I can confidently say that you will end up with a unique design, all your own, representing you, your kennel, your club, your event -- just the way you want.
You can email info@mydogmyshirt.com
• your graphic file
• your existing embroidery file
• your ideas scribbled on a cocktail napkin
In your email, give me some idea of what you want the logo to say to people, what type of items you would like to eventually have this logo embroidered on and any other information you can. I will get back to you with comments, suggestions and a quote for the design creation and digitizing.
Let me explain that technical term “digitizing”. In the embroidery world, digitizing, formerly called “punching”, is the process of creating a computer file that tells the embroidery machine what to do – where to move on an x and y axis, color changes, stitch types, etc. It is a completely manual process and the term “computerized embroidery” is somewhat misleading. Yes, the embroidery machines are operated by a computer file, but it is the creation of that computer file that is so important.
That being said, digitizing, in my opinion, is also the most important part of the process. Good digitizing equals good embroidery. A poorly created embroidery file can never produce the type of embroidered logo you should expect.
